Overview
Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU), under the aegis of Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust (PCET), had the honour of welcoming Dr. Frank Mentrup, Lord Mayor of Karlsruhe, Germany, along with his distinguished delegation, on behalf of the PCET Management. The visit marked an important step toward strengthening international academic and research collaborations between India and Germany.
The interaction facilitated meaningful discussions on academic partnerships, joint research initiatives, innovation ecosystems, institutional development, and faculty and student exchange programs. The dialogue reflected a shared commitment to fostering long-term Indo-German cooperation across universities and research institutions, with a focus on global learning, knowledge exchange, and sustainable growth.
The delegation included senior representatives from the City of Karlsruhe, TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Global Advanced Manufacturing Institute (GAMI), Impact Hub Karlsruhe, and leading Indo-German business and innovation organizations. Their participation added depth and global perspective to discussions on building future-ready academic and research frameworks.
This engagement was made possible through the instrumental efforts of Mr. Anand Govindaluri, Group CEO, Govin Holdings (Singapore), who played a key role in connecting both ecosystems. PCU was represented by Principals, Directors, and International Relations & Collaboration (IRC) Coordinators from PCET institutions, reaffirming the university’s commitment to internationalization and academic excellence.
MBA students of PCU were also part of this insightful international interaction, gaining exposure to global perspectives on higher education and institutional collaboration.
