Overview
Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU) has taken a major step toward bridging academia and the entertainment industry with a landmark MoU signing with AatPat Productions, the acclaimed film production company behind the blockbuster Sairaat.
The MoU was signed by Gargee Kulkarni, Executive Producer and Co-Founder of AatPat Productions, alongside her husband and visionary filmmaker Nagraj Manjule, who is also a co-founder of the company. With this collaboration, students of the School of Media & Communication at PCU will gain exclusive access to internships, workshops, and masterclasses conducted by industry professionals.
Speaking at the occasion, Gargee Kulkarni emphasized the importance of hands-on learning in film and media. As an Executive Producer, she has been instrumental in shaping projects that merge authentic storytelling with strong production values — a model that PCU students will now directly experience. This partnership will not only enhance their technical skills in filmmaking, VFX, production, and media management, but also expose them to the real-world dynamics of the entertainment industry.
The collaboration with AatPat Productions further strengthens the university’s vision of offering practical, industry-driven education in fields like BBA Media & Communication and B.Sc. Animation, VFX & Multimedia Sciences. For our students, this is more than an MoU — it is a doorway into the world of cinema and media, where creativity meets professional practice.
