Overview
Students from the Media and Communication Department and Pune School of Design at Pimpri Chinchwad University visited the National Museum of Indian Cinema on 2nd April 2026 for an immersive learning experience that brought the world of Indian cinema closer to reality.
The visit gave students an opportunity to explore the journey of Indian cinema through vintage film equipment, iconic memorabilia, interactive galleries, and audio-visual experiences that showcased the evolution of storytelling and filmmaking over the years. More than just a museum visit, it became a moment of understanding how creativity, technology, and human emotion come together to shape cinema.
Through this educational exposure, students gained practical insights into film production, media processes, cinematic history, and visual storytelling techniques. They also explored how advancements in media technology continue to influence communication and creative industries today.
At its core, the visit reflected something deeply human — people often don’t realize the power of storytelling until they experience it themselves. From silent films to modern cinema, every frame carries emotion, culture, imagination, and the natural human desire to connect through stories.
