PCU’s IDEATHON 2.0 2k25 “Code Beyond Limits – Transforming Ideas into Reality”
The event kicked off with an inaugural address followed by team registrations and idea pitching. Over the course of 24 hours, student teams worked intensively to build working prototypes and viable solutions. Faculty and industry mentors provided real-time feedback, technical guidance, and IPR support.
The hackathon also featured:
- On-site brainstorming and prototype development
- Peer and mentor reviews
- Midnight refreshment zones and rest areas
- Final project presentations to an expert jury
The winning teams were awarded cash prizes from a total prize pool of ₹50,000, with participation certificates distributed to all attendees.
Expert Session: Concurrency Control
The expert session was delivered by Mrs. Arti Singh, Assistant Professor, who shared her in-depth knowledge and real-world perspectives on concurrency control mechanisms. The session included explanations of:
- Theoretical foundations of concurrency
- Types of anomalies due to concurrent access
- Locking protocols, timestamp ordering, and multiversion concurrency control
- Use cases in modern databases and software applications
Techneon 2K25: A Showcase of Innovation
On March 29, 2025, SOET’s first-year students organized Techneon 2K25, a dynamic event celebrating creativity and technical excellence. The occasion was graced by Ms. Asmita Murar (Vice President, Ernst & Young) as Chief Guest and Dr. Amol Gore (Professor, Rochester Institute of Technology) as Guest of Honor.
With 966 participants, the event featured 122 projects, 52 posters, and 14 models, highlighting students’ ingenuity across domains. Their innovative solutions and prototypes demonstrated the future of engineering and technology.
Seminar: Quantum Tech – Impact on Future Warfare & Way Ahead
The seminar commenced with an inaugural session and welcome address by the organizing team, followed by a series of expert lectures and interactive discussions. It was graced by the presence of faculties of Pimpri Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU)
Key sessions included deep dives into the role of quantum technology in national security, future battlefield communication systems, and cybersecurity resilience. Emphasis was placed on building synergy between institutions to accelerate R&D and talent development in this domain.
