Research at PCU
One of the important limbs of any Technical Institution is research. For a successful progress of the Institute, it has to focus on both academics and research. At PCU, Research is an integral part of the academic activity. Research is performed to understand the scientific mysteries, to fathom the truths hidden in nature, to develop methods to solve certain specific problems; to invent new devices that make life easy and to meet more such objectives.
As of today, over 18 patents, 62 research papers and 11 Book chapters under PCU affiliation have been published by our faculty and students.

- Support national, regional and industry research and development policies.
- Encourage research within the framework of MOUs and linkages.
Research strategy defines the research objectives and defines the action plan needed to achieve these goals.

- To provide a foundation of regulations and guidelines for the management of research and development.
- To promote and support ethical research practices.
- To establish and foster a research culture that takes ethical issues into account.
- To introduce legal guidelines for fair research conduct, intellectual property rights, patent benchmarks, cyber laws, and ethical research procedures.
- To offer the necessary assistance for fulfilling all statutory and regulatory requirements for conducting research.
- To provide the essential assistance in achieving all regulatory and legislative standards for conducting research.
- To assure that all researchers, instructors, students, and staff are fairly treated.
- To promote awareness in society via various research efforts and by providing adequate attention to the University’s socially beneficial research programs

Research Policies
- To promote unique, high-quality fundamental and applied research in science, literature, Engineering, and management.
- Identify developing research fields and encourage academic members to do research in these areas.
- To encourage academic members to apply for research grants from national funding bodies such as SERB, DBT, DST, ICSSR, UGC, and others.
- Identifying faculty members who may serve as research leaders and encouraging them to participate in research initiatives, studies, and surveys.
- To provide financial support for the publication of research papers and conclusions.
- To provide a proper forum for staff members, scholars, and students of PCU to publish their research results and to encourage them to bring topics of current relevance to the attention of society.
- To conduct various seminars to help scholars and faculty members build relevant research abilities.
- To encourage faculty members to different conferences, symposia, seminars, and workshops in their specialized disciplines and other areas of current interest.
- To provide the institution with the necessary infrastructure to support various research programs.
- To carry out all such similar initiatives that will foster a research culture in the University.

- Dr. Roshani Raut and Ms. Anuja Pathak for the first Indian Patent Granted in the name of PCET’s PCCOE Pune, Patent No. 390610, on the topic “IoT based Smart Helmet”
- Prof. Ketan Desle for Receiving AICTE and CSIR Travel Grants and Attending the International Conference at London, UK.
- Dr. Sonali D. Patil who has been elevated as IEEE Senior Member, the highest grade and a global recognition
- Dr. Sonali Patil Madam for receiving an Award “Innovator/Researcher Person of the Year 2021” by IEEE Pune Section.
- Ashvini Ladekar and her project group won Second runner up in Technology Infusion Grand Challenge 2020-21, La Trobe University, Australia
- Dr. U G Potdar and Dr Narendra Deore received SERB Core Research Grant of 25+lakhs
