Overview
Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU), School of Computer Applications, successfully organized a Two-Day MERN Stack Workshop on 10th and 11th September 2026 for students of MCA, BCA and BSc (Cyber Security). The workshop provided students with practical exposure to MongoDB, Express.js, React.js and Node.js, along with hands-on experience in developing full-stack web applications. The sessions were conducted by industry experts, helping students connect academic concepts with real-world software development practices and industry expectations.
Objectives
Provide students with a practical understanding of the MERN Stack—MongoDB, Express.js, React.js and Node.js.
Bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements through expert-led, hands-on training.
Develop students' practical skills and confidence in building modern full-stack web applications.
Familiarize students with current software development practices and industry-oriented approaches.
Encourage students to apply theoretical concepts through practical implementation and application development.
Highlights
Inaugural session at the University Auditorium with addresses by Dr. Kamlesh Meshram, Head, School of Computer Applications, and Dr. Abhijit Banubakode, Professor, School of Engineering and Technology.
Expert sessions by Ms. Sonal Kakar, Lead Delivery, DevSecOps, and Mr. Amit Debadwar, Senior Software Developer, providing valuable industry insights into modern software development.
Hands-on training in Lab B-503 covering MERN Stack fundamentals, development workflows and application implementation.
Practical exercises and application development activities conducted throughout the two-day workshop.
