B.Sc Clinical Psychology
We at Pimpri Chinchwad University offers- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Clinical Psychology is an undergraduate programme that aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the scientific study of human behavior and mental processes, with a specific focus on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological disorders. The programme is designed to prepare students for careers in the field of clinical psychology, as well as for graduate study in clinical psychology or related fields.
The curriculum of a B.Sc in Clinical Psychology typically includes courses in general psychology, abnormal psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, and cognitive psychology, as well as coursework in research methods, statistics, and ethics. Students may also have the opportunity to gain practical experience through internships or other supervised clinical experiences, where they can apply their knowledge and skills in real-world settings.
The overarching goal of a B.Sc in Clinical Psychology is to provide students with a strong foundation in the theories, concepts, and methods of clinical psychology, as well as the critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to work effectively with individuals and groups in a variety of settings. Upon completion of the programme, graduates should be able to apply their knowledge and skills to assess, diagnose, and treat psychological disorders, as well as to develop and implement evidence-based interventions to promote mental health and wellbeing.

Field Project at CRPF, Talegaon
The School of Sciences collaborated with the CRPF Special Education and Pre-Primary Montessori School for a community engagement project, offering practical experience to second-year B.Sc. Clinical Psychology and B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics students. Nutrition students conducted nutritional assessments, created educational programmes on healthy eating, and addressed dietary needs. Clinical Psychology students developed case studies, devised personalized support strategies, led Zumba and art therapy sessions, and assisted teachers in providing individualized attention. The initiative promoted student well-being and development while fostering real-world learning.

Students from the School of Sciences visited Nityanand Rehab Center to observe clinical and rehabilitation practices firsthand, engage with practitioners, and deepen their understanding of applied psychology and therapeutic care in a real-world setting.
BSc. Students Begin Field Project with Community Outreach
As part of the BSc. curriculum, our students kickstarted their Field Project (Community Engagement Program) with enthusiastic participation. BSc. Nutrition students visited Zilla Parishad School and Aanganwadi School in Bhahmanwadi, Vadegaon, while BSc. Clinical Psychology students engaged with residents at Vanprasthashram, Talegaon, and Parijnan Chaya Senior Citizen's Home, Karla. They conducted rapport-building activities, facilitated mindful mandala art therapy, and explored dance movement therapy, gaining valuable hands-on experience in applying their skills to real-world settings.
