Library at a Glance

The Library at Pimpri Chinchwad University serves as a central knowledge hub designed to support academic excellence, research, and lifelong learning. Known as the Swami Vivekananda Library, it houses a rich collection of over 10,000+ books, numerous print journals, and access to thousands of e-journals and digital resources. The library is continuously updated to meet the diverse academic needs of students across disciplines, offering a balanced blend of print, digital, and multimedia content.

Equipped with modern infrastructure, the library is fully automated and features RFID-enabled access, Wi-Fi connectivity, and an integrated library management system (KOHA) for seamless operations. It also provides a dedicated digital library section with access to platforms like EBSCO, ProQuest, DELNET, and other global databases, along with computer systems for research and study. Designed as a user-focused learning environment, the library supports information literacy, research skill development, and collaborative learning, making it an essential part of the academic ecosystem at PCU.

It houses over 10,000+ books, a wide range of print journals and magazines, and an extensive collection of titles covering engineering, science, management, and other fields. The collection is regularly updated to ensure students and faculty have access to the latest study materials and reference content.

In addition to print resources, the library provides access to a vast range of digital and e-resources, including e-books, e-journals, and global research databases such as EBSCO, ProQuest, DELNET, and J-Gate. It also supports open-access platforms, video lectures, and online learning resources like NPTEL and the National Digital Library, enabling users to explore knowledge anytime through both on-campus and digital access systems.

Open Access

Open – access (OA) literature is free, digital, and available to anyone online. An open-access document has limited copyright and licensing restrictions which means anyone, anywhere, with access to the Internet may read, download, copy, and distribute that information. As with any scholarly article traditional or otherwise authors of an open-access article should be properly acknowledged and cited. Here we have come-up with an initiative to provide subject wise links of Open Access materials that will enable easy and quick access for literature search.
