Commemorating Freedom: P.C.E.Ts Pimpri Chinchwad Universitys Inaugural Independence Day Celebration And Inauguration On The Hostel Facility.
Independence Day, a momentous occasion in the history of any nation, marks the commemoration of a country’s liberation from colonial rule and the assertion of its sovereignty. On the verdant grounds of P.C.E.T’s Pimpri Chinchwad University in Pune, a significant milestone was etched into the institution’s history as it celebrated its first-ever Independence Day with great fervour and patriotism and the inauguration of the university’s Hostel.
The attendees witnessed an atmosphere of anticipation and excitement as the students, faculty, and staff of P.C.E.T’s Pimpri Chinchwad University gathered to celebrate the nation’s 77th Independence Day. The event was a testament to the unity and diversity that the university community holds dear.
The celebration showcased the spirit of patriotism that transcends geographical boundaries and age groups. The students, dressed in a spectrum of colors representing the nation’s diversity, joined hands to bring the campus alive with a sense of pride and joy. The national flag fluttered high, embodying the collective dreams and aspirations of a free India.
The celebration commenced at 10 AM with the hoisting of the national flag by the Chief Guest and PCU’s Chancellor honourable Shri Harshwardhan Patil, our honourable trustees Shri Dyaneshwar P. Landge (Chairman PCET), Smt. Padma M. Bhosale (Vice Chairperson PCET), Shri Shantaram D. Garade (Treasurer PCET),Shri Vittal S. Kalbhor (Secretary PCET) followed by the singing of the national anthem, which resonated through the campus, evoking a profound sense of unity among all present.Dr. Pandit Bhalchandra Vidyasagar (Governing Body Member) was the President of the program. Honourable Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajeev Bhardwaj, Dr. Manimala Puri (Vice Chancellor I/C),Registrar Dr. D N Singh were the esteemed members whose valuable presence made this ceremony more auspicious. The Indian national flag waved proudly, representing the hopes and aspirations of a newly independent nation.
A highlight of the event was the series of speeches delivered by distinguished guests and the felicitation of the teaching and non-teaching staff members. They shared their insights on the significance of Independence Day, emphasizing the importance of cherishing the hard-fought freedom and contributing to the nation’s progress. Students were encouraged to reflect on their responsibilities as the future torchbearers of the nation and to actively engage in building a brighter future for India.
After the auspicious hoisting of the flag, all the members proceeded to the hostel for the inauguration. The hostel facility of PCU was inaugurated by our Honourable Chancellor Shri Harshwardhan Patil. It was a moment worth cherishing for all the ones present.
