Homage to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with a Book Exhibition and Grand Procession

Pimpri, February 2025 – Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU) commemorated the birth anniversary of the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with a deeply meaningful celebration, blending intellectual homage with vibrant cultural expression. The university hosted a unique exhibition showcasing a vast collection of books dedicated to the life, legacy, and strategic brilliance of the Maratha warrior king, followed by a grand procession that resonated with the spirit of his enduring leadership.

In a departure from conventional celebrations, PCU chose to honor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj through the power of knowledge. The book exhibition, meticulously curated, featured historical accounts, biographies, and scholarly works that illuminated the multifaceted personality of the king. Following the book exhibition, PCU organized a grand procession that echoed the grandeur and spirit of the Maratha era. Dr. Sudeep Thepade, Pro-Vice Chancellor of PCU, underscored the relevance of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's teachings in contemporary times.
