
Professor Sung Ha Park, Prof. of Physics from the Sungkyunkwan University of South Korea, visited PCETs Pimpri Chinchwad University, Pune, on Thursday, March 9, 2023. He is a renowned professor in the fields of DNA nanotechnology and biophysics.
The Vice Chancellor (IC), Dr. Manimala Puri, welcomed Professor Sung Ha Park and briefed him about the new Pimpri Chinchwad University, which was set up by the well-known Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust in Pune.
It has been agreed that the students of PCU would be able to pursue internships at the University of South Korea. Professor Sung Ha Park also told Pimpri Chinchwad University, Pune, that professors from South Korea’s Sungkyunkwan University would talk to PCU students online from time to time.
In addition, Prof. Sung Ha Park agreed to be on the International Advisory Board of PCU and will be interacting with PCU faculty members and students.
Prof. Sung Ha Park met Dr. Girish Desai, Executive Director, Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust. They had a discussion on prospective academic collaborations and global internships between the Sungkyunkwan University of South Korea and Pimpri Chinchwad University, Pune, India. Dr. Desai shared his views about making the university a global platform by adopting academic research.
The visit of Professor Sung Ha Park was organized under the guidance of Dr. Govind N. Kulkarni, Director of Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune.
The concept was appreciated by Prof. Sung Ha Park, who eagerly looks forward to collaboration in terms of global internships, student exchange, and academic collation with Pimpri Chinchwad University, Pune.
