1,500 Students Ignite Athletic Spirit at PCU's Kridarambh 2025
PUNE – Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU) celebrated the successful conclusion of its annual sports festival, Kridarambh 2025, a three-day extravaganza of athletic prowess and spirited competition. The event, marked by an unprecedented level of student participation, solidified its position as a cornerstone of the university's commitment to holistic development.
The festival’s grand opening, graced by renowned cricketer Rohit Motwani, alongside Vice Chancellor Dr. Manimala Puri and Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Sudip Thepde, set the stage for an engaging display of talent across a wide spectrum of sports. With over 1,500 students participating, Kridarambh 2025 became the largest sporting event in PCU's history, highlighting the university's dedication to promoting a vibrant and inclusive sports culture.
The festival showcased intense competition across various disciplines, ranging from team sports like cricket, futsal, volleyball, and kabaddi, to individual events such as carrom, chess, badminton, and table tennis. Students demonstrated exceptional skill, strategic thinking, and unwavering sportsmanship throughout the event.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Manimala Puri emphasized the broader significance of Kridarambh, stating, "Kridarambh transcends the boundaries of mere competition.
