PCU Celebrates the Start of AY 2024-25 with a Memorable Deeksharambh Ceremony
Pimpri Chinchwad, August 17, 2024 — Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU) warmly welcomed its incoming students for the academic year 2024-25 at the 2nd Deeksharambh Induction Ceremony. Held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 11:30 AM on the PCU campus, the event brought together students from the Schools of Media, Sciences, Pharmacy, Computer Applications, and Management. The ceremony was infused with enthusiasm and inspiration, setting a positive tone for the academic journey ahead.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. Manimala Puri, Vice Chancellor (I/c) of PCU, whose inspiring words set the tone for the day's proceedings, Dr. Sudeep D. Thepade, Pro Vice Chancellor of PCU addressed the students and parents and motivated them as they take on this new journey. The Heads of Departments (HoDs) from various school’s faculty members were present who guided the students and made them feel like home. Their presence underscored the university's commitment to academic excellence and the holistic development of its students.
Hon'ble Chief Guest, Dr. Pandit B. Vidyasagar, former Vice-Chancellor of Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded, inspired students with his profound insights on the significance of dedication and hard work in their academic pursuits. He highlighted the pivotal role of education in laying a strong foundation for their future and urged them to fully utilize the resources and opportunities offered at Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU). Dr. Vidyasagar also encouraged students to stay focused on their goals, emphasizing that perseverance and a positive mindset are essential for overcoming challenges.
Mr. Sangram Khopade, a renowned Radio Jockey and orator, graced the ceremony as the Guest of Honour. In his address, he captivated the audience with his humour, blending it seamlessly with motivational insights. He urged the students to strive for excellence and seize the myriad opportunities awaiting them at PCU. Emphasizing the significance of adaptability and continuous learning in today’s fast-paced world, Mr. Khopade spoke about the value of family, hard work, and passion for one's studies. He encouraged students to remain curious and open-minded, sharing valuable lessons from his professional journey. He also stressed the importance of building strong networks and seeking mentorship to foster both personal and professional growth.
The event was blessed by the members of the PCET Board of Trustees, including Shri Dnyaneshwar P. Landge, Chairman; Smt. Padma M. Bhosale, Vice Chairperson; Shri Vitthal S. Kalbhor, Secretary; Shri Shantaram D. Garade, Treasurer; Shri Harshvardhan Patil, Chancellor of PCU; Shri Narendra D. Landge, Management Representative; Shri Ajinkya V. Kalbhor, Management Representative; and Dr. Girish Desai, Executive Director of PCET.
