Pimpri Chinchwad University Hosts Grand Deeksharambh - Induction Ceremony for AY 2024-25 Engineering Students
Pimpri Chinchwad, August 16, 2024 — The School of Engineering & Technology at Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU) warmly welcomed its incoming engineering students for the academic year 2024-25 with the 2nd Deeksharambh - Induction Ceremony held on Friday, August 16, 2024. The event took place at 11:30 AM at the PCU campus and was marked by an atmosphere of enthusiasm and inspiration.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Shri. Harshvardhan S. Patil, Chancellor of PCU, Mr. Sachin Itkar (Governing Body Member – PCU), Mr. Ajinkya Kalbhor (Management Representative) and Mr. Narendra Landge (Management Representative), Dr. Girish Desai (Executive Director – PCET), Dr. Manimala Puri, Vice Chancellor (I/c) of PCU. Dr. Sudeep D. Thepade, Pro Vice Chancellor of PCU, Dr. R. G. Biradar – (HoD – School of Engineering and Technology), along with all the faculty members of the School of Engineering & Technology who presided over the event. Dr. Biradar addressed the students with a warm welcome and enthusiasm.
Hon’ble Chief Guest, Mr. Anandrao V. Patil, IAS, Additional Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India, addressed the students and enlightened them with his valuable insights on the importance of dedication and hard work in their academic journey. He emphasized the role of education in building a strong foundation for their future and urged them to make the most of the resources and opportunities available at Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU). Mr. Kabir Gaikwad, Ex-Head of Corporate HR at Atlas Copco India Pvt. Ltd., attended the ceremony as the Guest of Honour.
