PCETs Pimpri Chinchwad University Hosts Prestigious Delegation from Mauritius
Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU), Pune proudly hosted His Excellency Mr. Haymandoyal Dillum, High Commissioner of Mauritius, at its campus on Saturday(06 July 2024). The event focused on expanding international education partnerships. Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President of GTTC India, graced the event as the guest of honour.
His Excellency Mr. Haymandoyal Dillum, the chief guest, lauded PCU for its excellence in education. He emphasized the university's potential for growth and encouraged strengthening Indo-Mauritius collaborations. Mr. Dillum highlighted areas for potential partnerships, including academic exchanges, research collaborations, student exchanges, international admissions and scholarships, internships, certification courses, faculty exchanges, and joint degree programs.
Dr. Gaurav Gupta, the guest of honour, commended PCU's dedication under the Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust (PCET), which boasts a legacy of 33 years of educational excellence. He spoke about the promising future of relations with the university.
The distinguished guests were warmly welcomed and celebrated by Dr. Girish Desai (Executive Director - PCET), Dr. Manimala Puri (Vice Chancellor I/c), Dr. Sudeep Thepade (Pro Vice Chancellor), and other eminent members of the PCET community. The event was coordinated by Mr. Jamir Mulla – Head of Marketing, PCU. His Excellency, Mr. H. Dillum, delivered an inspiring address that underscored the importance of exploring potential collaborative projects between Indian and Mauritian industries.
In his speech, Mr. Dillum emphasized the need to facilitate student exchange programs, enabling students and faculty from both countries to experience diverse educational environments. The discussions also focused on strengthening international partnerships and cooperation in education and industry, aiming to create a robust framework for mutual growth and development. His Excellency Mr. Dillum also discussed global trade markets, Indian education, and important areas of collaboration.
The event was blessed by the Honourable Trust members of PCET, including Shri. Dnyaneshwar P. Landge (Chairman), Smt. Padma M. Bhosale (Vice Chairperson), Shri. Shantaram D. Garade (Treasurer), Shri.
