PCET's Pimpri Chinchwad University Celebrates Inaugural Sports Fest - KRIDARAMBH
Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust’s Pimpri Chinchwad University witnessed a surge of energy as it hosted its first-ever Sports Fest - KRIDARAMBH, which translates to "A New Beginning" in Marathi. Held on March 22nd and 23rd, 2024, the event proved to be a resounding success, invoking a spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition among students.
The ceremony was a grand affair, graced by the presence of the university's trustees - Shri. Dnyaneshwar P. Landge (Chairman), Smt. Padma M. Bhosale (Vice Chairperson), Shri. Shantaram D. Garade (Treasurer), and Shri. Vitthal S. Kalbhor (Secretary). Their words of encouragement set the tone for the fest, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork. Dr. Girish Desai (Executive Director - PCET), Dr. Manimala Puri (Vice Chancellor I/c), and Dr. Protibha Nath Banerjee (Sports Coordinator) played a key role in organizing the event and ensuring its smooth execution.
KRIDARAMBH served as a vibrant platform for students to showcase their athletic talents and compete in a variety of sporting events. Cricket pitches came alive with the crack of the willow and enthusiastic shouts, while volleyball courts witnessed strategic serves and thrilling rallies. The table tennis arena buzzed with focused concentration and deft smashes, and basketball courts pulsated with energetic dribbles and acrobatic layups.
The competitive spirit was infectious, with participants from different departments vying for glory. The camaraderie between teammates and the cheers of the enthusiastic audience created an electrifying atmosphere throughout the fest. The winners of each tournament were felicitated at the closing ceremony, their achievements were recognized and celebrated.
